RADS Grants
The Shire of Denmark and the Denmark Airport Association have combined forces to obtain a grant from the Regional Airport Development Scheme. Airport lighting has been upgraded to all LED, with new lights on the windsocks.
Further grants have been accessed to install vermin proof perimeter fencing, commencing in the second half of 2021. Donations and community work has been used to improve the current terminal building to become a weather proof ambulance to RFDS transfer station. Final work on this is to have a covered roof for the ambulance to unload patients. This work will be supported by Denmark Lions Club. The 'carport' structure is on order.
